Canada’s Flights, Campbell’s Drama & EU Label Wars
Tonight on NewsTeam 13 Update, Erica Lee runs through the stories you didn’t know you needed… and probably still don’t.
Toronto’s Pearson Airport is celebrating record profits, despite fewer international travelers — proving Canadians don’t need to leave the country, they just need to fly across it repeatedly like polite boomerangs. Meanwhile, Campbell’s Soup has fired an executive for calling their products “food for poor people” and alleging the existence of 3-D printed chicken. Campbell’s denies everything, including the flavor.
In Europe, the EU is cracking down on misleading food labels after discovering that “vegetable crisps” might actually just be potato chips pretending to be healthy. And brace yourself — someone is now selling “diet water.”
And finally, the UN has declared yet another International Day… this time for staplers. Because when it comes to holding the world together, office supplies are clearly doing more heavy lifting than the Security Council.
