This webinar, held on 26th February 2025, was Session #2 of the ‘Stormwater Fundamentals’ series in 2025, and focussed on stormwater channel design.
In this session, presented by Sean Quilty (Director of Quilty Engineering Hub), you will learn the fundamentals of Stormwater Channel Design, with a special focus on Manning’s equation – a key tool in hydraulic design. We start with the basics, explaining each component of the equation, before moving on to a detailed worked example that connects theory to practical real-world scenarios. Additionally, we cover important considerations such as maintenance, scour, and freeboard to ensure your designs are both efficient and sustainable.
The 60-minute session includes a short presentation by Sean, followed by Q&A with attendees.
