In this video we demonstrate how to use the equivocation hitch knot. In rope rescue, the equivocation hitch is a knot used to create a secure connection between two ropes. It is also known as the equalizing hitch, as it allows for equal distribution of load across multiple anchor points. The equivocation hitch is often used in multi-point anchors to increase system stability and reduce the risk of failure. It can also be used to balance the load between two anchor points, which can be especially useful in challenging rescue scenarios where unequal loads can cause instability or failure.
