Much-needed supplies reached the Muslim enclave of Gorazde Tuesday in the former Yugoslavia.
A United Nations convoy carrying food and hygiene supplies reached Gorazde after a long stop at a Bosnian Serb checkpoint.
The convoy carrying 40 tonnes of supplies including flour and cooking oil was stopped at a checkpoint in Ustipraca, 10 kilometers (six miles) east of Gorazde.
The check was comprehensive with Serb soldiers checking documents and opening boxes to verify their contents.
The convoy was stopped at the checkpoint for about 2 hours.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
says it's managing to get up to three convoys a week into Gorazde.
Elsewhere the Bosnian Serbs were continuing to block road convoys into Sarajevo, demanding that their share of the supplies rise from 23 per cent to 30 per cent.
Other aid efforts concentrated on the enclaves of Srebrenica and Zepa.
After the stop the U-N trucks were eventually allowed to pass, reaching Gorazde at late Tuesday morning.
