While we were still recovering from the crazy past days, the only way (as always on the trip) led us upwards. 1.000 meters of vertical elevation gain within a few kilometers! And even after we thought the climbing was done for the day, the road just kept going up and we had to ride over snow and ice, to finally get to the long downhill out of the alps
I hope you enjoyed this little series:) It was an abslutely epic ride and one that I'll remember for a long time.
In the end of march, my neighbour Erik and me went on a big adventure: Off-road bikepacking in the alps, in spring!
We rode the route of the Veneto Divide, a famous mountain bike route in the Southern Alps in Italy.
We had some of the most intense times of our lives, with near-death experiences on (unsurprisingly) snowy descents and the most beautiful gravel roads you could imagine.
