On 03/312024, a Texas DPS Trooper observed a blue motorcycle without a license plate traveling westbound on Texas Highway 64. The trooper initiated a traffic stop. Instead of pulling over, the bike took off at a high rate of speed with the trooper in pursuit. The bike exited into FM-2661 and continued fleeing southbound. The pursuit ended a few minutes later when the bike, approaching a curve at an unsafe speed, left the roadway and crashed into a tree line on the east side of FM-2661. The rider was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
