THE NEW ZEALAND CHRONICLES | Queenstown & Beyond

7 – 10th September 2022

It was time to go beyond. After arriving in Queenstown, we started driving west towards Te Anau and explored the little town for the day. The following day was when we had a lot to cover on the way to Twizel. So we had a glimpse of bungy jumping on the outskirts of Queenstown, a quick visit to Cromwell, then we had a beautiful drive all the way to Mount Cook, which was absolutely gorgeous. I was so glad that the weather had improved from the day before. After that, there was more driving. As the sun began to set, we finally made it to Twizel. Our accommodation for the night was a very unique-looking chalet. The following morning was when I woke up to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, which had shocked the world and myself. The second longest-living monarch had passed. In a twist of irony, we were heading back to Queenstown for the day. We spent a short time in Wanaka before arriving back in Queenstown, where we had about two days to do what we could. The footage I shot doesn't represent the full picture of that region, and I highly recommend Queenstown as a must-go destination for anybody who wants to see what New Zealand is all about. That is nature and culture working hand-in-hand. I can't wait to go back :)
