In this video you will hear from Uncle James, Wiradyuri Elder of the Aboriginal community in Wagga Wagga, as he shares the Wiradyuri creation story of the Murrumbidgee River. Uncle James recently passed away. He was a knowledge holder whose family have been custodians of the Murrumbidgee River for many thousands of years. This video has been shared with the permission of Uncle James’s family, in acknowledgement of his lifelong commitment to education, and to continue his legacy.
