One Day Accelerated TMS for Depression | Stanford Lecture Review | Los Angeles | NeoPsych

Here I add commentary and show snippets from a lecture given by Jonathan Downar at the Stanford Center for Precision Mental Health & Wellness a few months ago.

One of the biggest barriers to doing TMS is the schedule. One treatment per day for 6 weeks is doable, but it is also challenging. The good news is, the long wait tends to be worth it (80% response, over 60% remission). What if you could accomplish very similar results in just one day? Please allow me to introduce you to the One D study, which boasts results after one day of treatment.

Although I do think this is a viable option, I obviously cannot guarantee results and I am not giving medical advice here. I am trying to spread awareness of new information in case it is helpful for you or a loved one. This is new data, so there will be more information coming out about this protocol's potential. All things considered, I think the chances of success are pretty good, so ask around for providers in your area that are utilizing this One Day Accelerated Protocol.
