The City of London Cemetery and Crematorium is a remarkable burial ground which truly merits inclusion in any inventory of great Victorian garden cemeteries. Opened in 1856, today it has some 150,000 graves and 70,000 gravestones and monuments and is the final resting places for almost one million departed.
