Clarice Cast is a multi percussionist from São Paulo, Brazil. She earned a Bachelor of Music from Northern Illinois University and a Masters in World Percussion from the California Institute of the Arts. She is an active performer, recording artist, and composer in Los Angeles, CA and is a regular clinician at colleges, universities, and percussion festivals, including the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in 2014. You can hear Clarice on the sophisticated Lado B Brazilian Project’s debut album, which was nominated for the 58th Grammy Awards in the category of “Best Arrangement Instruments & Vocals." She is heavily influenced by her native Brazilian culture, and it has been her driving force to learn, perform, write, and teach these styles.
Daniel Feldman is a Latin Grammy nominated drummer, and percussionist originally from Mexico City. He specializes in hand percussion from around the globe, mainly from Latin American and Mediterranean/Middle Eastern traditions. His diverse cultural background combined with his upbringing in the USA helped Daniel create a unique sound that fuses these traditions with pop, funk, and jazz. Throughout his career he’s been able to share the stage and or record with Ian Ethan Case, Carlos Rivera, David Broza, Ledisi, Noel Schajris, MARO, Joaquina Mertz, Leslie Grace, Alejandro Sanz and many more.
Dramane Kone is a third-generation master drummer and griot (traditional storyteller) of Burkina Faso, West Africa. By age 3, Dramane was studying djembe performance with his father and grandfather, both griots and master drummers with lifetime of drum experience. Dramane has travelled around the world performing and teaching has worked with Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Shakira, Herbie Hancock and performed on the Black Panther movie soundtrack.
Isaku Kageyama is a taiko artist well-versed on the stage and in the studio. He began studying taiko in Tokyo, Japan at age 6 under the guidance of Mr. Yoichi Watanabe of renown taiko ensemble Amanojaku. After becoming a two-time national Odaiko champion and principal drummer of Amanojaku, he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. He has since performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and recorded for A-list video game Ghost of Tsushima.
