2006 F150 Brake Light Indicator Repair (20 min video)
Watch me struggle to remove, repair, then reinstall then
instrument cluster on my truck.
This is a nasty repair. The indicator needles need to be
pried off the cluster to access the circuit board. The
electronics repair was pretty easy. Reflow some solder to
correct cold solder joints. The re-assembly was tricky.
remember to put the odometer reset shaft in BEFORE the clear bezel
check and carefully insert the LCD Odometer display
align the indicator needles to your previous marks
Have a USB/WiFi/Blue Tooth OBD2 scan tool handy to verify the
alignment of the indicator needles.
Replace any blown lamps while you are in there!
