'Soap' [Official 2015 Music Video] Melanie Martinez


Soap served as the 2nd Official Single off Melanie Martinez’s Debut Studio LP Record ‘Cry Baby’.

Released July 10th 2015, this temporary promo visual premiered at 12:00am EST on her official YouTube account (alongside an audio version featuring the cover art in my profile pic) simultaneously with the Singles release due to the filming production shoot for the Official Music Video getting delayed.

As a result Mel alongside her friends self shot this VHS featurette late at night in a last minute effort inside of a vintage hotel bathroom on 8mm film.

This was never intended to be the proper Soap visual as to why it’s since been publicly removed from her YouTube Channel.
Later that same year Melanie released a ‘Double Feature’ for both tracks 6/7 Soap & Training Wheels off the ‘Cry baby’ LP.
