Could this be the WORST VW engine of all time? 👎 2.0 BiTDI VW Transporter

We've have previously covered the 2.0 BITDI CFCA engine issues extensively on our socials, but this time we are taking a closer look at the newer 2.0 BITDI CXEB engines and the problems these are now facing.

Unlike the CFCA engines with their problematic EGR Coolers, we have found the CXEB engine failures are mainly due to the pistons / rings, particularly in the earlier 2016/17 models. We have been seeing low compression, high levels of iron in the oil and on this particular van an oil consumption rate exceeding 1.5L per 1000KM (621 miles)!
