Tea for Two on Hammond B3

Tea for Two! Now there's a song that I'll bet everybody who has ever learned how to play a Hammond has played at least once, and probably a lot more. And, I'll bet everybody who has played this song has done at least a slightly different version of it as well. So here's my version, influenced strongly by both George Wright and Eddie Layton'

I think George Wright was the one who did the arrangement where it changes key with every phrase, and Layton did some interesting harmony and other effects as well. Anyhow, I've added subtitles, so if you enable that feature, you can read a sort of play-by-play description of what's happening.

I've also added a timeline, below, so you can easily go to any particular part of this if you wish to study it further or listen to something several times. You can also access these easily from the "scrub bar" below the video which takes you quickly to particular sections.

Many of these special effects are things that we learn on the job from other musicians and not from private lessons, so that's why studying interesting YouTube videos of others playing Hammonds can be very helpful in developing your own playing style as you pick up interesting harmonies and tricks of other more experienced performers.
