In this video:
This is the heart-wrenching story of an 88-year-old man who once lived in a peaceful village in Gurdaspur, India. Before the Partition of 1947, Muslims and Sikhs in his village shared a deep bond of friendship and harmony. But as the Partition approached, chaos spread everywhere. Friends turned into enemies. Violence erupted.
Pakistan
One day, their village was attacked by mobs of Hindus and Sikhs. But in a moment of humanity, a Sikh friend risked his own life to save this elderly man, helping him escape to safety.
He and others walked for seven days—without food or water—surviving on tree leaves just to stay alive on the journey to Pakistan.
Even today, this man remembers his village, his home, and the Sikh brothers who once stood by him.
