Evolution of Saishuu Kessen Ougi Mu Shiki (Since 1996)

Kyo Kusanagi's Saishuu Kessen Ougi Mu Shiki is the first of the three unnamed techniques created to defeat Orochi, hence "Mu Shiki" (No Style). In The King of Fighters 2003, it was referred to as San Shingi no Ichi (Three Divine Techniques: First).

Both the arcade and Sega Saturn versions of KOF '96 ROMs contain sprites for a technique that is believed to be the KOF '96 version of Mu Shiki. The rumor is that it wasn't implemented in the final version of the game due to time constraints, as KOF '96 had all its sprites remade in less than a year.
This technique is used by Kyo Kusanagi and his clones, Kyo-2 and Kusanagi.

In NeoGeo Battle Coliseum, the flame pillar effect was altered, and the normal version of the technique was turned into the MAX version. It remained the same when Kyo Kusanagi was added to the PS2 version of The King of Fighters XI. However, in The King of Fighters XIII, it reverted to being the normal version of the technique.

The last time this technique appeared in a mainline game was in The King of Fighters '97 HD version in 2013. Since then, it has only appeared in mobile games and other media.
