He is a strong advocate for the consumption of millets to combat lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, PCOD, and even cancer. In this podcast, Dr. Khader shares his profound insights on managing these conditions naturally, offering revolutionary advice on diet and sustainable living.
Dr. Khader was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian honor by the Government of India in 2023, presented by the President of India on April 5, 2023.
Born in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Khader completed his MSc at the Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Mysore, and a PhD in Steroids at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He later pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Environmental Science in Beaverton, Oregon, USA.
After a successful career as a scientist in the USA, Dr. Khader returned to India in 1997. For over 20 years, he has dedicated himself to studying the benefits of millets, advocating their consumption as a healthier and more sustainable alternative to rice and wheat. Alongside dietary advice, he emphasizes sustainable agricultural practices and soil fertility conservation.
In this episode, Dr. Khader explains how millets can help reverse diabetes, control blood pressure, and alleviate hormonal disorders like PCOD. He also discusses their role in cancer prevention and overall health optimization.
