If you have a non concentric clock barrel, it is either "out of round" or "out of flat". Both situations cause problems for your clock to function properly.
In this video, I show you how to resolve both issues by turning the barrel "in a box".
I use a piece of round plywood and fit it into the lathe. Then I cut a fit for the barrel to be pressed into it. Now when I true up the hole with my boring tool, the barrel teeth become concentric with the arbor hole.
