High-quality medical images generate vast amounts of data. Analyzing this data is enormously energy-intensive. At HPI, researchers are developing AI-based algorithms that focus precisely on the relevant parts of the images. By doing so, the researchers are able to reduce the energy consumption by a factor of 10 to 50.
