GOOD DAY? BAD DAY? Real Life On A Farm

Maybe this one SHOULD be titled: A BAD day on the Farm is Still BETTER than a GOOD day with a stomach bug on your 98th birthday...

or maybe, "When a farmer has a bad day, Things DIE!"

or even better: It was NOT a quiet week in Lake Woebegone...

Whatever, There were some definitely challenging moments this week when a whole sh*t storm of unfortunate events collided on my Dad's 98th Birthday.

Dad got a stomach bug Tuesday night and so we had to cancel his big surprise party Wednesday. I had to go check on the rental sheep in Oswegatchie NY Solar project and found a disaster awaiting me...

Meanwhile back at home, my sister was visiting and she ended up having to call 911 because my dad in his weakened state fell over when he was attempting to get dressed (He bumped his head but is gonna be ok BTW).

The NEXT day the weather was perfect. Everything went smoothly. Totally different kind of a day.

The question remains...

Which day was the "GOOD" day?

the deep answer is

"BOTH!"

one day felt hard but was filled with solving problems and small victories over insurmountable odds. The other was a welcome rest and respite from the day before and kind of like a reward or dessert for being willing to even make the attempt of showing up in life.

No matter where YOU are or what YOU've been through. HAY! YOU DID IT! You made it through! Just remember: There's PLENTY more where THAT came from! ;o)
