THE TOWN OF ESSEX and ONE OF ITS BUSIEST INTERSECTIONS IS ABOUT TO GET A FACELIFT
Essex, Ontario, is a growing town in Essex County known for its small-town charm, agricultural heritage, and expanding commercial core in Essex Centre. The municipality is actively investing in infrastructure and community amenities as part of its 2026 budget and longer-term planning efforts, balancing growth with quality of life for residents.
Following the beautification of the core with the Essex Streetscaping Project, the town plans to address a key intersection with a high traffic count.
One of the key upcoming projects is improvements at the intersection of Maidstone Avenue and Talbot Street West in Essex Centre. This intersection upgrade is part of the town’s capital works program included in the 2026 budget, aimed at enhancing traffic flow, safety, and infrastructure in the downtown area.
The tender will be released in the first quarter of 2026.
