A new train station started service on Saturday, May 31st, and I woke up at the crack of dawn to be on the very first train!
SMART Rail is a regional rail train operating in Marin and Sonoma counties, which are (technically) part of the Bay Area (the counties border the San Pablo Bay, making them part of the North Bay). It offers stunning views of the beautiful Sonoma and Marin county landscapes, and I highly recommend this ride.
