So this was the East Coast Scooter season opener. I rode alongside Surrons, talarias, wepeds, dualtrons, and countless other electric personal vehicles. I can say with two batteries this can hold its own with those rides in traffic for sure. Open road not even close but a few notes.
Pros:
*Good torque off the line with the second battery.
*Decent bump up in range with the second battery but it’s not great for race mode. The gains are not really that jaw dropping. They are for torque but not range at top speeds.
*Front suspension is legit good
*5 inch tires definitely grip the road well and help when you roll over horizontal cracks where a thinner tire may slip
*Nimbleness of the bike at max speeds
Cons:
*Battery: still wish it was more than 48v you are extremely limited in your range when riding with bigger bikes at this bikes top speeds. I’d happily buy a 72v controller and pay for a battery if I could keep the bike features.
*Rear Suspension: too soft even at its max setting. I’m ok with some give bottoming out at top speed is not an experience designed for beginners.
*Storage: the charger is far too big for the storage compartment which was a giant mistake. I’ve resorted to a saddle bag hanging off the front of the handlebars above the light for it. The dual charging cable is not very bend friendly either.
*Charger: could’ve given us a lighter charger that was also 220v/240v compatible for those of experienced with ev charging. Having to find a wall outlet with a limited range means this bike is better suited towards local exploration more so than actually off road.
