I'm from a poor working class background. I've worked in technology (software) for over 25 years (and in manual/retail jobs before that) - I've just been made redundant for the second time in my career and decided to take retire early. I'm in a good position financially to retire early and I've decided to take early retirement and live off my investment income until I can draw my pensions.
