Spider wasp found the spider, a decent sized Huntsman spider. The wasp has travelled a mighty distance to take back to its nest from the garden across the grass now the verandah.
This spider wasps, hunts and catches spiders, mainly for their larvae to feed.
The spider is paralysed by the wasps sting. In this video it is dragging the spider but sometimes they fly it to a burrow where the wasp lays an egg on the spider's body.
After larva hatch, they feed on the spider, eventually pupating and emerging as an adult wasp.
