2021 was easily another excellent year for me, crossing-wise. This year, I explored the former SCL territory across Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with this being my first time going to NC and SC. This year, I went back down to the southeast corner of Georgia to revisit the Georgia Central, and also visited the Folkston area on that trip, along with dipping into the southern tip of South Carolina to snag a few crossings. Towards the end of the year, however, in December, @RaisedLetter and I made a trip across the Carolinas, filming a bunch more crossings in both states. On that trip, I was able to film six different crossings with Teardrop bells, including two that each had a pair, making it easily the most Teardrop's I've filmed in a single trip, and the most Teardrops I filmed in an entire year. I got to film a bunch of other older crossings across the southeastern US as well. I even got to film my first bell-only crossing this year too! I even got to film my first RACO non-hydraulic gate mechs this year as well, along with my first pair of WABCO AL-70 gate mechs too!
In February of this year, I also snagged my last videos of Greenbrier Road on the morning it was closed, including one final video (shown in this video) of the crossing taken just after it was closed. NGL, I do still miss it, it was a nice gateless crossing that was always easy to chase trains to. 2021 was also the year I celebrated my channel's 10th anniversary, which was definitely fun to do. Needless to say, I'm already planning my channel's 15th anniversary next year...
