Loeriesfontein is a small town located in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, situated on the edge of the Hantam Karoo. It was established in the late 19th century, primarily as a farming community. The town's name is believed to be derived from the presence of the grey lourie bird (also known as the go-away bird) in the region.

In 1960, under the leadership of Reverend C.W. Steyn, the church underwent reconstruction, with the cornerstone laid on October 1 of that year.
