Brian Carn Indicted Pleads Guilty! Faces Possible Three Years In Jail?

Brian Carn, Jr., a minister from Jacksonville, has admitted to hiding money from the IRS to avoid paying his taxes. Brian runs several ministries, including Healing House Ministries and Brian Carn Ministries. In 2016, he told the IRS he made over $1.4 million in 2015 and owed more than $600,000 in taxes. But he didn’t pay the taxes. Instead, he tried to trick the IRS by changing his tax return to say he earned less money.

Brian gave his new accountant a fake job contract that said he only made $120,000 a year plus $24,000 for housing. He used this fake contract to report less income than he really made. Even though he earned a lot more, he kept lying on his tax forms for several years. In 2020, he stopped filing taxes but still used ministry money for personal things.

When the IRS tried to collect the money he owed, Brian lied and hid his assets. Because of his actions, the U.S. government lost between $550,000 and $1,500,000. Brian could go to prison for up to three years. The case is being handled by the IRS Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Justice Department.
