In this batch I used:
18oz powered sugar
5.3 oz light corn syrup
~1/2tsp vegetable glycerin
For approx 150 cages
When storing queens I give them a drop of water twice a day. Although I have accidentally left a cage with no water for two weeks and the bees were alive with the moisture the candy absorbed from the room! To increase the introduction time I will use blue painters tape taped over the candy with a torn edge of the tape just barely showing the candy so the bees will start chewing the tape away.
