[SMRT] NSL DEBUT - Alstom Movia R151 [839/840] - Inaugural North-South Line Service!

On 25th May 2024, SMRT held the soft launch of the inaugural R151 NSL service, running 2 loops on slot T231. This slot actually serves as the Last Train to Marina South Pier and Kranji, but its 3rd loop was taken over by 659/660, similarly to the EWL debut on the first day. This train entered service at 1655hrs and was withdrawn at 2200hrs.
Many enthusiasts rushed over to NSL to catch this train and I’m sure by now you will know what happened at Marina South Pier. 🙄
Anyways, now the R151 trains are running on both lines! Majority of them will definitely still be on EWL, but good that NSL has a new face as well!
SGT2581 Announcement: With LTA announcing the retirement of the First, Second and Third Generation Trains in Singapore, (Kawasaki Heavy Industries Contract 151, Siemens Aktiengesellschaft C651 and Kawasaki Nippon Sharyo C751B), both of us will be filming more of these trains on both NSL and EWL, to commemorate the great service that these trains have provided.
