Recognizing the Fallen and Their Families on Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day

On Sept. 29, 2024, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr. and members of American Gold Star Mothers (AGSM), Inc. recognized Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day.
Brown, retired U.S. Army Reserves Sgt. Maj. Ivory Hinton, AGSM President Patti Elliott and her son, Brad Elliott, participated in a Public Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Afterwards, a ceremony was held in the Memorial Amphitheater lower chapel where Brown and Hinton spoke about the tremendous sacrifice, strength and courage of fallen U.S. Armed Forces service members and their families.
Here at ANC, we honor and remember Gold Star families and their loved ones every day.
