This mat was designed around the gold cube's 14.5 to 15.5 degree angles. We've been testing this mat all thru out the 2018 season on the beaches of Washington state (which has some of the finest gold on the west coast, -300) and are impressed with the results. This mat works excellent on beach black sands and river black sands. The mat will not catch big gold like nuggets so have other mats in place.
