DIANA ROSS ( with PLACIDO DOMINGO and JOSE CARRERAS ) sang in July 30 1996, in front of 80.000 people at Ferenc Puskàs Stadium of Budapest. They were called to celebrate the 1.100th Anniversary of the State of Hungary by the Magyar Arpad , as part of a yearlong series of cultural programs .
In 1970, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" was her 13 th NUMBER 1( 14 weeks ) in the USA singles charts and # 1 in the USA RADIO ( 11 weeks). The single sold, in USA only, 1.245.000 copies becoming GOLD RECORD and, Diana Ross, received a GRAMMY NOMINATION for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. It was also # 1 in CANADA ( 10 weeks ), # 6 in UK ( 12 weeks and , selling over 200.000 copies , on 18 March 2023, it become UK SILVER DISC SINGLE) , # 14 in IRELAND , # 31 in AUSTRALIA ( 12 weeks) and # 39 of 1970 in DDR.

Australian singer Jimmy Barnes released an album of soul covers titled Soul Deep in 1991, including his rock version of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". This cover reached #28 in Australia in 1992
In 1993, at the end of the film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Whoopi Goldberg and most of the cast of the movie, including future neo-soul superstar Lauryn Hill, mixed both the Gaye/Terrell and Diana Ross solo versions of the song together for a performance of "Ain't No Mountain" at the climax of the film. Always 2011, the song appeared in a NicoDerm CQ commercial with a miniature little band playing the song on the table of the former smoker.
