Back in the 1500s we thought the the Earth was the center of the solar system and the planets were described by epicycles and deferents. I thought I'd model what happens when you slowly change the deferent. One thing of interest is how an embedded particle can still trace out an off-center ellipse so I highlighted it. I thought the curve was pretty so I made it shiny and shared.
