1. Saying that you’re applying to the school because of its excellent teaching, case methods and career opportunities.

1. I’ve seen people saying “oh my friends said there are great sport activities in the school” in like first paragraph of the cover letter

The most important thing you need to understand that you shouldn't praise the school or say things that are literally written on every college’s website but explain what’s the connection between the program and your career plan

And another big mistake is writing GENERAL things about your career goals , such I want to work in management or in top consulting firms or in luxury.

It means you have no clue what you want to do, and that’s not what the school wants

It’s much more interesting to state the consulting firm you want to work for and some examples of their projects and why you find it interesting, or if we take luxury, say you want to work on marketing analytics for example to make the numbers speak and help further build the storytelling.
