BJD blushing: A manicure and hand blushing for Feeple65

February is a month full of faceups, so I'm starting things with... hands. XD Makes perfect sense!

Today I'm blushing Firal's hands! She's my Feeple65 Chloe, and I recently got new hands for her, so they have to be color matched to her existing resin. This is my first time using pastels alone to color match. I typically use airbrushing for everything, but I wanted to try something new. I share a couple of things I noted about the process along the way.

To get lots of pastel dust like this, you can gently scrape a chalk pastel across a sharp edge. I used a knife, but you can also use a nail file or even a sharp corner on a plastic lid or something. It comes off nice and powdered and ready to use!

I'm a bit disappointed in the dark inclusion on the new hand, but it is what it is. I'm still happy she has them.

There are no excuses for me not noticing the dust that settled on the hands overnight before I photographed them for that last shot, though! ^^; I'll just brush that off, there...
