Matthew has around 5 per cent vision. He has been registered as blind since birth.
But being partially sighted doesn't stop Matthew from seeing Edinburgh's many vistas and capturing images on his DSLR camera.
Matthew uses photography to capture and create memories just as anyone with full sight might do.
Matthew uses either an iPad or a large monitor to blow up his photographs later on and is sometimes able to see so many more details than he ever thought was possible. He says the discovery of visual information is something he enjoys greatly.
