It’s also a milestone: the first official day owning the pub. Meetings with the team were held on Teams, allowing me to balance being present on-site while still keeping business moving.

The pub opening wasn’t without challenges — from cooler issues to the chaos of day one — but it was made special by a visit from my sisters to share in the occasion.

The night ended the way many leadership days do — with a pile of late-night emails before finally switching off.
