How to make a custom mouthguard with braces

Dr Blair Feldman demonstrates how to make a custom mouthguard for an athlete with braces. He is using the Drufomat positive pressure thermoforming machine. The Funky Tool is and 'add on' tool sold by Raintree Esix used to create the 3 color panel stripes.

A custom mouthguard is made by a dentist, orthodontist, or specialty laboratory. It should fit perfectly so the athlete can speak, breathe, and play hard without trying to hold the mouthguard in place.

These are the mouthguards worn by elite high school, college, and professional teams.
