Shyam teri Bansi is a beautiful Bhajan in Raag Charukeshi from "Geet Gata Chal, a movie in the seventies. Music and lyrics are by Ravindra Jain and it is a duet sung by Arti Mukherjee and Jaspal Singh. The central theme of this song is to glorify Shyam's melodious bansuri, which attracts everyone who listens to it. While Meera (a character in the film) feels that Shyam's bansuri only calls out Radha's name, the next line clarifies that Krishna loves everyone equally without bias. The melodious flute in this song makes the meaning come out more poignantly. It is our humble attempt to recreate this nostalgic melody in our own way. I have loved this melody since childhood and now it makes me teary eyed whenever I sing it. The Universal love of Krishna is for all, irrespective of who they are. Krishna calls everyone with his beautiful bansuri playing, and it depends on us if we respond to Him. Radha ka bhi Shyam wo to Meera ka bhi Shyam❤️🙏
