The Route of the Calatrava Passion is a spectacle that goes beyond the religious sphere to write one of the most heartfelt pages in the Campo de Calatrava. It is a journey through the municipalities of Aldea del Rey, Almagro, Bolaños de Calatrava, Calzada de Calatrava, Granátula de Calatrava, Miguelturra, Moral de Calatrava, Pozuelo de Calatrava, Torralba de Calatrava, and Valenzuela de Calatrava.
On March 8, 2007, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, through the Directorate General of Tourism and Handicrafts, granted Holy Week in the Campo de Calatrava the title of Regional Tourist Interest Festival. It was the first time that a declaration was awarded "jointly" to 10 Calatravan municipalities, which contribute to enhancing the authenticity and significance of this celebration. On September 19, 2016, the declaration of this celebration as a National Tourist Interest Festival was published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
