Sub: Ongoing Dharna/Demonstation at Gate No.1 - Reg.

Sir.

In sequel to our earlier letter No. DUCKU/2025/221, dated 24.07.2025, it is to convey that a few meetings were held with the University Authorities and the grievances/demands of the Karamcharis were discussed in length but we have not been conveyed any concrete strategy in order to resolve our issues as agreed that University Administration will resolve our issues amicably by issuing the orders for the same. The immediate concerned of our genuine grievances that has to be resolved by the University Authorities itself are still pending:

1. To regularize the contractual Karamcharis working since last 10 to 25 years in the University & its affiliated Colleges as per the direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court on dated 30.01.2024, State High Court decisions and Harayana Govt. Notification No.67/H.A.17/2024/S.10/2025, dated 05.08.2025

2 The basic and mighty was snatched from us by the DU under your leadership is membership of WUS Health Centre. It is to note that this facility is provided by the University Authority since inception. But ironically College Employees was refrained from this Centenary Year of the University.

3. We are fail to understand that how and why the Recruitment Rules specifically Non-Teaching Staff so frequently ultered. The motive behind it is not cleared to us. University Authority neither sticking to the Model CRR issued by the UGC nor the revision of R.R. that was done in 2008, 2013, 2015 and in 2020. The intention is apparent to facilitate the near and dear of the University Authorities.

4. To discuss the University Notification dated 31.07.2025 to increase the working hours from 8 am to 8 pm in the Colleges.

The matter was discussed in the G.B.M. on dated 08.08.2025 at University Gate No.1 and it was unanimously decided to postpone our Dharna till 15.08.2025 due to the National Festival and it was also decided that all the sections of the Karamcharis working in the University. Departments & its faculties and Campus Colleges will participate in Dharna/Demonstration on dated 18.08.2025 from 10 am to 5 pm at University Gate No.1 after marking their attendance in their respective offices. However the Karamcharis working in the outer Colleges, Evening Colleges, South Campus will participate in Dharna directly from their respective home. The Karamcharis working in the Hostel will participate in Dharna after providing the Breakfast. It was also unanimously decided that a meeting will be held on dated 18.08.2025 at Dharna Sthal at 3.00 pm to discuss the development if any or to decide the further course of action thereupon.
