Dear Friends, here a short explanation what happens if the thicknesses of your instruments are not correct. Since every piece of wood, every arching and all models are different from one violin to another the thickness is one of the main factor to adjust the frequency of top and back of every instrument. Beside the use of technology human beings such as cremonese violinmakers are the best experts on planet earth to determine the perfect thickness for every single instrument.
