Exploring Contermanskloof & Meerendal

With the Double Century finally done, myself and Desh head back to the trails. The next target is the Imbuko Big 5 Mtb Challenge. This event comprises 77km with 3000m elevation gain. It takes place in Wellington with the main attraction being the Cliffhanger descent.

The next 2 months therefor means plenty of climbing and also loads of descending. Keep following the channel as I will go into more details about this event and try and break down all the different climbs.

In this video we started at Contermanskloof, traversed over to Meerendal and took Desh up all the way to the top of Dorstberg which I think is the highest point on the Tygerberg Trail Network. The views at the top are an absolute treat and really showcase how beautiful Cape Town is with Table Mountain the showstopper.
