EDIT: I gave some bad info in this video, the Ultimate II+ does not need the DOT clock for it's REU to work, but an original Commodore REU does need it.
EDIT2: Later Kawari Mini's (Rev 1.5 and later) have a header to grab the clock off without having to solder onto the LS05.
Here's a run through on how to get a proper dot clock in both NTSC and PAL modes when using the VIC-II Kawari module on a 250425 or 250466 board (250407 coming soon). You may want this fix if you're having problems running a Swiftlink or other UART type modem or a RAM expansion with a Kawari. There's a cheat sheet at the beginning if you don't want to watch the whole video.
