Welcome to Part 1 of my Moebius Models 1/4105 Battlestar Pegasus build series! In this project, I’m bringing the Battlestar Pegasus from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series (2003) to life.

In today’s video, we’re focusing on the modifications to the Pegasus flight pods. Moebius Models included forced-perspective decals for these pods instead of open interiors, so I’ll be making adjustments to achieve a more screen-accurate look. This involves removing the support structures and mounting pegs—turns out, they’re not needed for stability after all.

Once cleared, we’ll add the brass photo-etch interiors from Paragrafix Modeling Systems. Their photo-etch set is top-notch, with a near-perfect fit and clear instructions. It even includes extra detail pieces for the launch tube spacer and connecting arms, which are fantastic upgrades to the original kit.
