Can a cheap e-bike climb a mountain just as well as it’s expensive electric mountain bike counterpart? We challenged Steve to ride up a mountain on a budget EMTB worth only £350. Will he make it? Will the bike manage it? Do you need to spend lots of money to enjoy e-bike riding? We find out.

We compared the budget bike to our Canyon Spectral On, on one of Britain’s most famous mountains. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have an adventure, a cheap E-bike wil still take you to places with ease that a regular mountain bike requires extra effort.
