This documentary presents the rich heritage of Indian perfumery and how the House of Baanka has contributed to further the legacy of ittar manufacturing.
This video introduces you to an extremely rare natural ittar, Manmath Kewra by the House of Baanka.
It explains Team Baanka’s months of hard work, persistence, and dedication in the making of Manmath Kewra.
Unlike other natural ittars, the distillation of Kewra happens in Odisha. Kewra is the source of freshness for other fragrances.
The rich properties and sweet essence of Kewra is the reason it is used in food items like biryani, sweets, paan, etc.
Kewra flowers are mainly extracted in three seasons; summer, monsoon, and winter.
Firstly, the flowers are plucked in the morning, then we segregate the finest ones and put them into the deg for further nature hydro-distillation process.
It takes around 1.5 to 2 months to manufacture Manmath Kewra. Team Baanka is committed to producing the highest-quality natural ittars in the industry by using natural manufacturing processes.
Over the last 150 years, Baanka has consistently strive to preserve the Indian perfumery business.
This video is a small effort to acquaint you with the history of ittars. We want our audience to know about the sweat, toil, and hard work behind the making of pleasing natural fragrances.
