Chimerama's Karmic Tea Party (part 2/2)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with criticizing a person's behavior, especially if it's in an effort to help them recognize the issues so that they can do better as a person. That, however, doesn't mean promoting screenshots you not only can't verify the authenticity of, but also don't know who took them or how old they are. If videos talking about an artist only spoke of their personal interactions, there would be no problem. When you try to justify beliefs based on events you were not present for, don't know about fully, and don't understand the context behind, then you are already approaching the situation from a biased, misinformed position.
There's nothing wrong with talking about difficult or abusive relationships that you have been forced to endure. That, however, doesn't mean promoting a single, outsider's interpretation of an artist's work in order to claim that artist is a vile person, nor vilifying that artist for exhibiting symptoms of a mental condition or trauma that they explore themes of in their artwork.
People should apologize for and take accountability for their actions,-- I think there's no real arguing that here--but people should also be offered the opportunity to improve themselves. If you can't be bothered to check and see if any improvement efforts have been made, then while you are allowed to remain upset about past events and choose not to interact with the person behind them, you also shouldn't just assume that person cannot change in the course of half a decade.
People are ever-changing and ever-developing. A person's struggles with their mental health should not be used as means of painting them as a bad person, especially if they're trying to get help for those issues.
